Best service from Azmi at front desk, giving me my favorite room always on my biz trips, great guy:) Renovated hotel, small rooms but super clean, unlike older Hotel 81s. Easy access to city and airport, with bus/MRT, lots of food options around

To be fair, this 2-star hotel is probably a decent deal any time OTHER than when Taylor Swift is in town. I think the normal rate is S$69 a night, but we paid over FOUR TIMES that for our 3 night stay during Swifte season. The room was TINY - made even smaller by the fact that we needed twin beds, so there was very little room for our luggage. The bathroom had been recently renovated but was still microscopic - you could probably touch all four walls whilst sitting on the toilet. There was no real separation of the shower area from the rest of the bathroom (other than a thin glass panel close to the shower head, so the water leaked right across the bathroom floor anytime the shower was used). The room walls were also VERY thin - good if you are a vouyer, not so good if you want a good nights sleep. Beds were rock hard. On the plus side... the staff were excellent, very helpful. The hotel is a 15 min walk to the National Stadium, so perfect if you're travelling in to SG for an event. There are also lots of good restaurants, bars and 'adult shops' nearby, if thats your thing.

This place is less expensive, clean, great staff, friendly and very helpful. It's also close to bus stop and restaurants and other small stores. If I have to go back to Singapore I would stay there again. They have a little refrigerator and kettle for hot water. They don't have ice. 7/11 is just across the street if you needed it. It was not a big deal to us.

Clean and nice to stay. Front desk old man is poor quality. I'm a local, I meeting my friends from Philippine after last night concert, to send them back to the airport, but one of your old guy is double standard. I understand Chinese and is not right to tell about your own working Partner to other guest. I’ve been seeing this guy in some off others geylang 81 branches. This type attitude staff can make the hotel standard looked bad.

Room is clean and staff Nur was very helpful...some of the staff rude. The manager Andi in the afternoon of 20th Feb was the most helpful. Sadly there is 1 male staff,so not friendly at all. Location easily find good and nice food. Easily to get to town area..... Free flow drinking water available in the room.....
